Streamlining information governance at Bank of America

knowledge_management

Background

In 2021, Bank of America Global Information Security identified the need to consolidate and modernize their fragmented knowledge bases across organizations. As Senior Knowledge Manager on the GIS Information Management team, I was tasked with leading a migration strategy that improved access, compliance, and long-term scalability.

I was able to achieve this by evaluating each organization’s current knowledge repository status and then determining which actions to take. These could include leaving existing knowledge bases alone, archiving old content, creating a new wiki site for collaboration, or creating new knowledge bases.
