Single-Source Multichannel Publishing is the practice of creating modular content that can be reused across multiple deliverables and output formats. Rather than rewriting the same content for different audiences or platforms, I help organizations develop structured documentation systems that allow a single source of truth to power Word documents, PDFs, Knowledge Base articles, and eLearning content — all from one place.
By converting existing documentation into flexible, topic-based components, businesses can reduce redundancy, improve consistency, and deliver updates faster across channels. It’s a scalable, future-ready approach to documentation that saves time, reduces errors, and makes maintenance dramatically easier.
The benefits of single-source multichannel publishing are:
When done right, single-sourcing is more than just a technical upgrade — it’s a strategic investment in content efficiency. Whether you’re maintaining hundreds of help articles or streamlining internal SOPs, I bring both the tools and expertise to make your content work smarter, not harder.
Converted playbooks for eight teams into a single-source multichannel publishing platform to streamline documentation updates related to regulatory changes for all teams.
Served as editor and layout designer for the publication of a fantasy novel supporting both standard (6×9) and large print (7×10) editions (for those with vision impairment). To avoid managing multiple Word documents, I migrated the manuscript into MadCap Flare, structured it into modular topics, and created custom outputs for each publishing platform—Amazon KDP (standard and Kindle formats) and IngramSpark (large print). This single-source approach ensured all editions met strict technical submission requirements while maintaining consistency, simplifying updates, and streamlining the publishing workflow across formats.
Built a SharePoint-based executive knowledge hub supporting over 3,000 users across the GIS organization. Designed as a hub-and-spoke system, the central repository delivered shared content while subsites served targeted, team-specificinformation. Leveraged SharePoint’s targeted content delivery capabilities to enable single-source, multi-channel publishing—ensuring consistency while customizing user experience. Migrated legacy content and implemented a scalable taxonomy structured around business function, regulatory alignment, and document classification to improve findability, governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
Developed and delivered a blended Confluence training program for administrators, contributors, and readers. Led live WebEx sessions and created role-based learning materials accessible via a structured knowledge base. Training covered permissions, content lifecycle management, formatting tools (macros, markdown), and governance workflows to ensure regulatory compliance. Supporting materials included both PDF training guides and searchable KM articles tailored to the user’s role and access level.
My goal is to transform disorganized and redundant content into a streamlined, reusable framework tailored to your publishing needs. By identifying common patterns, modularizing key information, and designing workflows that support efficient reuse, I help teams produce high-quality, consistent documentation faster — and with far less effort.
